Postlude – The auspicious day of “ Thiruvathia “ is the star of Lord Shiva . According to lore , this is the day when Goddess Parvathi was accepted as Shiva’s wife . It is mainly a festival of celebration of marriage for a woman by keeping fast for the longevity of her husband and a life filled with marital bliss . The lyricist has brought the beliefs and traditions of the Thiruvathira festival by mentioning the Athira star , the month of Sagittarius , the dance steps of Thiruvathirakali and the draping of the brocade saree.
