Prelude – A film on the theme of dance without danseuse Madhuri Dixit not being a part of it is not possible . The film was released during the second year of my engineering days in 2007 . From the scenes of the song, it could be understood that this song described the process of falling in love of an Indian girl with a foreigner. Madhuri was pirouetting all over the stage wearing an Anarkali suit, which was the trend during those days . I am still able to recollect Madhuri’s stirring expressions to the beat of this breezy song .

Postlude – The Indian girl played by Madhuri Dixit falls in love with a foreigner, Steve . I don’t know how the language of love breaks obstacles such as race and nationality, and one decides to take a leap of faith and go in the direction where the heart points . The most beautiful lines in the song are where the tale of love is being woven by the warp and weft of a handloom . The difficulties we face in love are being compared to days of hard work done by the weaver. The fulfillment of love is compared to the completed fabric that the artisan wove.The lyrics penned by Jaideep Sahni bring out the power of destiny in uniting two souls and how it’s like the whole world conspiring to bring them together . The song takes us along the story of the heroine , where she is living among hostile family members, and she is trying to break free from the imprisoned life at her home . The heroine asks the hero ,who is a foreigner , to take her along with him to his motherland to start life anew with hopes and dreams . This song is an ode to all those who have fallen in love with a person of another country in which barriers and boundaries of religion , race , nationality , language , caste , gender, etc., are broken and humanity prevails .
